Understanding the $10 Administrative Fee
The $10 administrative fee applies when switching an existing entity to Main Street Business Services as your registered agent.
If your business is already established and currently has a different registered agent listed with the Secretary of State, we charge a $10 administrative fee when you make the switch to Main Street Business Services. This fee covers the state-level costs we incur during the changeover process.
It’s a one-time fee per entity and per state, and it applies only when updating an existing record with the Secretary of State. If you're forming a new business or starting fresh, this fee typically does not apply. You'll see the charge clearly during your checkout for full transparency.
